Silas Wright Dunning (1838–1924) was an American schoolteacher, editor, and genealogist. He contributed articles to the ninth edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica. He left a bequest to the University of Michigan in 1924, establishing the Dunning Fund, which was later used to acquire rare books and manuscripts for the university library. |
