renowned for its distinctive geological features, particularly its
vast amphitheatres filled with unique red, orange, and white hoodoos
– tall, thin spires of rock. The park spans over 35,000 acres and
offers a series of scenic viewpoints along the rim of the canyon,
providing visitors with stunning panoramic views of the intricate
rock formations below. Popular activities include hiking along the
park's network of trails, ranging from easy walks to more
challenging routes, as well as photography to capture the striking
landscapes. The park's elevation, ranging from 6,620 to 9,115 feet,
contributes to its diverse ecosystem, hosting a variety of plant and
animal species adapted to the high-altitude environment.
