Kerio volcanic crater

Located in the Grímsnes area of South Iceland along the Golden Circle route, this volcanic crater lake is known for its red and black slopes contrasting with the deep aquamarine water. It was formed around 3,000 years ago and is roughly 55 metres deep and 170 metres wide, attracting visitors for its dramatic scenery and easy-access walking path around the rim.
