| Syon House is a grand neo-Gothic, square castellated mansion in Middlesex, situated with a lake in front. It serves as the west London residence of the Duke of Northumberland. The house was built on the site of the former Syon Abbey, which was dissolved in 1539 by Henry VIII. The abbey and its surrounding lands were subsequently granted to the Seymour family, from which Henry’s third wife, Jane Seymour, hailed. |
