2nd Señor de Higares (–1472) Biographical 2nd Señor de Higares 1439–72† Alguacil mayor of Toledo 1456–60 In 1454, García received Olihuelas from his cousin, Fernando Álvarez de Toledo, Count of Alba, to support him for his marriage. He took part in the wars against the Moors in Granada. His will was dated 23 March 1472. Place of burial: Santa María de Sisla Son of Fernando Álvarez de Toledo and Teresa Vázquez, he married Leonor de Guzmán in 1454, and had issue: • Teresa, married to Pedro López de Padilla in 1474, with issue • Fernando (see) García is also said to have had a natural son: • Alonso (see chart 12A) |
