Commander of Alhange in the Order of Santiago
Luis served as captain of one of the companies of the Old Guard of
Castile and was governor of the eight companies that went to Aragon
in 1588. He became a Carmelite at the Monastery of Duruelo in Mancera
in 1570.
Son of Pedro Álvarez de Toledo and Leonor de Ayala, he was
married firstly to Mencía de Fonseca, with issue:
