Abbess of Santa Isabel (–1507 ) Biographical Abbess of Santa Isabel Her consecrated name was Sor María la Pobre. She founded the Franciscan Abbey of Santa Isabel in Toledo in 1477. Daughter of Pedro Suárez de Toledo and Juan de Toledo, she married García Méndez de Sotomayor, and had no issue. |
