Amédée IV and his brother Aymon settled a dispute over their paternal
inheritance in 1234, but Amédée's will of 1238 nominated his younger brother,
Thomas, as his heir over Aymon in default of male children. In 1235, Aymon
made a donation to the Hautecombe Abbey. He founded the leprosy hospital
of Villeneuve in 1236.
He nominated his brother,
Pierre, his heir.
