Biographical

Dame de Faucigny 1268–1310†

The heiress of her father, in 1294, she gave her lands, located between Seyssel and Freiburg, to her uncle, Amédée V, Count of Savoy, and transferred Faucigny to her son-in-law, Hugues de La Tour, maintaining the usufruct for herself in 1296. She claimed Savoy for her grandson, and with her allies, caused much conflict for the family.


Place of burial: Chartreuse convent of Melans, Faucigny

Daughter of Pierre II de Savoie and Agnès de Faucigny. She was married firstly to Guigues VII of Vienne before 1253, with issue, and secondly to Gaston VII de Moncada in 1273.
