Janus attended the coronation of Louis XI of France and was made a knight
by the Duke of Burgundy. He supported the king in his dispute against
Duke Charles. He founded the San Francis de Cluses monastery in Faucigny
in 1471.
His will was dated 22
April 1491.

He was firstly married Hélène de Luxembourg in 1466, with
issue, and secondly to Madeleine de Brosse in 1488.
