During the Second World War, Maria Christina was deported to Austria by
the Nazis, along with her sister and mother. The family was freed in 1945,
and after the monarchy was abolished, they went into exile.

Daughter of Amedeo di Savoia-Aosta and Princesse Anne de France (Bourbon-Orléans).
She married Prince Casimiro of the Two Sicilies (Borbone) in 1967, and
had issue.
