Antelmo was invested with Collegno and Altezzano Inferiore by his father in 1320, and again in 1334 by his brother Jacques. In 1346, he paid homage to his father. He accompanied his sister, Jeanne, to unite with her husband, Amédée de Poitiers, and then his brother, Jacques, to Avignon who was meeting with Pope Clement VII over his conflict with the Marquis of Montferrat. He also accompanied his brothers, Thomas and Amédée, to Montpellier for their studies. In 1360, Antelmo took part in the defence of Pinerolo after the assault carried out by Amédée VI, Count of Savoy. In 1366 he accompanied the count to Greece, and in 1369 he was in the service of the French crown.

Illegitimate son of Philippe I de Savoie and an unknown woman. He married Isondina (family name not known), and had issue.
