Governor of Vercelli

Bernardino was invested with his fiefdoms in 1521 by Carlo I, Duke of Savoy. His marriage required papal dispensation, obtained from Pope Adrian VI/ Bitter over the preferential treatment accorded to Bernardino by his parents, his brother, Antonio Lodovico, protested over the inheritance and the inadequate allowance granted to him by their father. This dispute seemed to have settled in 1522, but it reopened in 1549, this time involving Antonio and Bernardino's sons.

Son of Claudio di Savoia and Ippolita Borromeo. He married Violante Adorno, and had issue.
