Lady of Karytaina (Carytena) 1303–>07 dep.
Lady of Bucelet 1303–>07 dep.
Marguerite received Karytaina and Bosselet as part of her future dowry
from her father. She was betrothed to Charles of Anjou, but the marriage
did not proceed. These were returned to Achaia after her father was deposed
and in return, received land in Alba from Charles II, King of Sicily,
which yielded an income for her future dowry.
She ceded her claims to Achaia to her half-brother Jacques.
Place of birth: Greece
Daughter of Philippe I de Savoie and Isabelle de Villehardouin. She married
Renaud II de Forez in 1324.
