| Radaldus
Margrave of Lombardy (–< 926) Biographical Margrave of Lombardy Conte di Lecco In a charter of 895, Radaldus is referred to as a counsellor of Emperor Lambert. After Lambert's death, he managed to maintain his status under King Berengar I of Italy and did not suffer any reprisals that struck so many others. In 915, he was present at an assembly in Pavia. He claimed the commendum of the monastery of Bobbio in 913, but was forced to relinquish it after the court ruled that he had deprived the monks of its use. Radaldus survived Berengar's downfall in 926 and is mentioned for the last time in the documentation as margrave and count, and as the holder of the Almenno estate. Son of Conrad and Ermengarda. |
