Johnston Barton
(1876–1944) Biographical Distinguished Service Order (UK) High Sheriff of Donegal 1922 Lieutenant Colonel in the Duke of Wellington's Regiment Of Greenfort and Portsalon, Donegal, Barton was educated at Foyle College in Derry, and at the Royal Military College Sandhurst. He was called to the bar in 1918, and served in World War I. Son of Baptist Barton and Isabel McClintock, he married Kathleen de Hamel in 1908 and had issue: • Ernestine Isabel, *1909, married Frederick Bryce, †1973, in 1948, with no issue |
