Robert Barton
(1877–1955) Biographical Captain in the Royal Irish Regiment Captain in the 3rd Paget's Horse Captain in the Imperial Yeomanry Deputy Lieutenant of Tipperary 1919 Justice of the Peace Of Grove, Tipperary, Barton served in the South African War and in World War I. He was childless, and after his death, Grove passed to the Ponsonby family. Son of Samuel Barton and Mary Frobisher, he married Ethel Cobden (†1935), with no issue. |
