Son of Juan Gómez de la Cámara and Juana de Aldana, he married Leonor de Cárdenas, with issue:
• Juan he married in Cáceres
• Rodrigo de Cárdenas (see 4201A)
• Ana, married to Alonso de Vargas
• Gonzalo, married to María de Alvarado; he obtained a licence to travel to the Indies with his wife, children and servants in 1554
