| Charles Kreutzberger (1829–1909) | ||||||||||
| An Alsatian artist, Kreutzberger was born in Guebwiller (Haut-Rhin) and worked primarily in Strasbourg and Paris as a painter, draughtsman, engraver, lithographer, and poet. He began studying drawing around 1845, later pursuing lithography in Strasbourg before becoming a pupil of Eugène Laville in Paris. His first exhibition at the Salon took place in 1863. Known for his portraits, landscapes, and genre scenes, Kreutzberger also contributed illustrations to publications such as the Nouveau Larousse Illustré. He died in Paris. | ||||||||||
