| Standing in Stationsstraat, formerly on Nieuwe Markt., this work was created to commemorate the the birth of Roosendaal's 40,000th resident. Krosch’s postwar modernist style is defined by simplified geometric shapes and minimal surface detail, focusing on symbolic clarity rather than anatomical realism. The figures are abstracted into solid, block-like forms, reflecting a sculptural approach influenced by civic ideals and mid-century social themes. |
